Boroughmuir S1 Rugby - Bishop's Stortford Tour 2015: Round-up....!
So there it is, we took 21 players and came back with all of them - result!. The dust has settled and the bags unpacked from what was the Boroughmuir S1's tour down to Bishop's Stortford. We made a lot of friends, 'rocked' the marquee and played a lot of rugby against some quality teams of the English U13 game. The results are below, but on day 1 we managed to come 3rd in pool 1, which put us into the Cup competition on day 2. The resulting scores from those games gave us a third place in the Cup at the end of the competition. Over the course of the two days, we'd picked up our fair share of injuries and by the end of the tournament the boys were well and truly 'out on their feet'. But there was much talk of what rugby had gone before and a great feeling of achievement. The achievement of taking part in a tournament that had the likes of the U13 County Champions, Bishop's Stortford, London Scottish and Saracens Youth teams, the majority of who were bigger and older than us and coming away 3rd out of 11 teams is no 'mean feat'!
Everyone of the 21 players who went on tour contributed 110 percent in effort, raised their individual performances to bring back that 3rd place. This would be a great time to thank all the players, from the coaches and parents, for your attitude and efforts on and off the pitch, through the weekend, and for also playing some great rugby - S1 rugby rocks!

Lastly, the coaches would like to extend a big thank you to everyone that helped us with and on the tour, especially Bridget, Janet and their support and fundraising teams. We would also like to thank all the parents for coming and for supporting the team - it does make a difference. Finally, we would like to thank our hosts Bishop's Stortford for inviting us to their festival and making us feel very welcome. We hope to see you again shortly!
