The Bears continued their good run in form with a 48-5 win over an experienced Peebles 2nd XV.
The day started out with a minutes silence for respect of the recent passing of Allan Mackay (Boroughmuir) and Ian Clark (Peebles).
In very windy conditions the Bears took control of the game through their forward pack, mixing experience and age to their advantage. With a large crowd enjoying the game and cheering the team on, the Bears adapted to the conditions, ref and opposition to deliver a complete, all round performance.
The Bears take a break until the 28th March for their final game of the season. Last week's win over Biggar 2nds now puts the pressure on the Biggar team to ensure each of their remaining games result in a win. One slip up and the title is open towards both Biggar 2nds and the Bears.
