Members, Supporters of Boroughmuir Rugby and customers of the Canalside Venue will notice a few small changes this summer as the club continues to complete the small projects that contribute to the success of our lovely venue.
Last month the new Canalside Venue website was launched which helps promote the venue to a new segment of customers looking for a social or business venue to hold their functions. This was designed and created by a volunteer looking for experience to build on her CV. Read more about that story here.
Smaller signs advertising the Canalside Venue were placed along the canal with support from our good neighbours, the St Andrew Boat Club.
Our warm welcome is a little warmer with the Cafe Banners at the front of house. These were designed by President Bill Noble in his spare time, drawing upon his background and experience in promotion and design. The banners highlight just some of the great activities offered within the venue.
Those with good observation skills will also notice the new coat racks within the club, homemade and created by volunteers in their spare time, gifted to the club when they saw an opportunity to help where help was needed.
We are always looking for volunteers to help support the running of the club, or such in the examples above, contribute in a small way that makes a big difference.
If you are keen to learn more or to speak to someone in the club, give us a call, talk to a member of the Board or click here for more information about our Work Experience Programmes.
