The annual Marie Curie bag packing day will be held at Marks & Spencer, Gyle on Monday 23rd December from 7am - 9pm, in aid of our adopted hospice at Fairmilehead.
The Marie Curie Hospice is the main charity we support and we would be grateful for as many volunteers as we can, to come forward.
We adopted the Hospice after the wonderful care and T.L.C. shown to our beloved Bruce Hay in his final days. Players Hugh Macmaster Gordon Irving, other members, and our own loved ones have been cared for by the Marie Curie Cancer Care.
We are asking for help for the following times,
7am-9am, 11am-1pm, 1pm - 3pm,
3pm - 5pm, 5pm - 7pm, 7pm - 9pm.
If you can spare just a couple of hours for this worthy cause, please email Allan - allanmackay48@yahoo.co.uk
It takes over £10.000 per day £400 per patient to run the hospice of that Marie Curie receive 40% from the N.H.S. the other 60% they rely on the generosity of local residents and companies to fund their services.
Marie Curie also have a team of nurses who provide nursing care and emotional support to the terminally ill and their families free of charge!
We would be grateful once again for your support and generosity!
