First full game of the season and it was a physical challenge, both in terms of stamina and power. The boys continued their impressive defensive efforts, which formed a firm foundation for their game. Some strong counter-rucking let to a series of turnovers that led to the first try, an excellent passing move that saw Liam Habib go over for the score, converted by Ben Somerville.
The next score came close to half time, with a breakaway move that saw the ball recycled inside to lead to a score close to the posts by Jerry Blyth-Lafferty, with the conversion pulled to the side by Ben.
A couple of breaks in play to deal with injuries, and it was half time.
The second half saw a sustained period of pressure from the boys as they camped in the Highland half for a good ten minutes, before finally working a move across the backs that saw Oscar Petillot touchdown across the line for his first Boroughmuir try, and with the conversion kicked successfully by Ben the team were 11-0 up.
The score remained the same through to full time. A well worked victory.
