Community Development Manager Update
In keeping with our commitment to updating members on club matters, we would like to announce our Community Development Manager Sina Graham will be ending her time with us to follow other opportunities in community projects.
Sina achieved a great deal in her year with the club, introducing new sponsors, as well as bringing back old ones. Sina also introduced the club to a number of new avenues for bringing in community users to the club.
Club chairman, Ally Hay, commented:
“Sina opened our eyes to opportunities we had never considered before, and she worked very hard to turn these into reality”.
Warm welcome to Andy Knight
Due to the importance of the CDM role, the club has moved quickly to appoint a temporary replacement for the next few months, in Andy Knight. This will allow us to advetise for a full time replacement.
As the Head Coach for the 2nd XV, Andy is well known around the club having just entered his 25th season here and brings in local businesses and community programmes and also ensures that charities prosper from fund raising events.
With a background in the licensed trade and events management for over 20 years and more recently the last 4 years in a Business Development role we feel that Andy will bring very high levels of enthusiasm and dynamism to the role.
A strong knowledge of the local community and a tenacity to ensure people are brought together with a purpose and a goal will mean that BR&CSC will be a hub of activity. He is well respected, not only within rugby circles but within many of our other associated clubs too. He is a vibrant character who will ensure that fun is injected into our facility and ensure that the business thrives and moves forward.
Andy is very much looking forward to the new role and is very keen to chat with all of you over a coffee. Please feel free to drop in to catch up with him through the week and find out how he proposes to drive our facility forward or e-mail him on CDM@boroughmuirsports.co.uk
