Then Muir set up a great attack with Jordan Edmunds rampaging up the wing and setting up a ruck on the Currie 22. Currie forwards went offside but unfortunately Chris Laidlaw missed the resultant penalty attempt. Currie licked long from the 22 drop out which Craig Marshall fielded and ran back setting up another good attack but again Muir went off the feet and gave up a penalty.

In a effort to break the deadlock Muir make four changes at half time bring on Robbie Wilson ,Cal Davies and Craig Keddie in the forwards and Grant McConnell on the wing.

Currie again started strongly setting up a number of attacks on the Muir line but great Muir defence kept them at bay. Turnover ball resulted in a Muir scrum on their 22 from which Craig Marshall made another great break and sent Grant McConnell for a try.

Chris Laidlaw was just short with the conversion so it was 5-0 to Muir. From the kick off Currie again put pressure on the Muir defence. From a line out in the Muir 22 Currie forwards catch at drive at the Muir Line with Travis Brooke going over to score. James Semple puts over the conversion to make it 5-7.
